บริษัท สหวิริยาสตีลอินดัสตรี จำกัด (มหาชน) หรือ SSI ระบุว่า สำหรับแนวโน้มของธุรกิจในไตรมาส 4/58 คาดว่าปริมาณขายเหล็กแผ่นรีดร้อนชนิดม้วน (HRC) จะลดลง 25-30% จาก 2.95 แสนตัน ในไตรมาส 3/58 โดย HRC Apparent Steel Supply มีแนวโน้มลดลงประมาณ 13% จากไตรมาสก่อนมาอยู่ที่ประมาณ 1.43 ล้านตัน ขณะที่ราคา HRC มีแนวโน้มลดลง 13-15% จากไตรมาสก่อนที่มีราคาขายเฉลี่ย 496 เหรียญสหรัฐ/ตัน และคาดว่า HRC Rolling Margin ซึ่งเป็น HRC Spread/ราคาขายเฉลี่ย จะอยู่ที่ประมาณ 16-18% จาก 17.9% ในไตรมาส 3/58
