โดยผลการดำเนินงานในไตรมาสดังกล่าว มีกำไรลดลง เป็นผลมาจากการที่พระราชบัญญัติคุ้มครองแรงงาน (ฉบับที่ 7) พ.ศ. 2562 ที่มีผลบังคับใช้ตั้งแต่วันที่ 5 พ.ค. 2562 กำหนดให้นายจ้างจ่ายชดเชยเมื่อออกจากงานเพิ่มเติมจาก 300 วัน เป็น 400 วัน ให้แก่ลูกจ้างที่ทำงานติดต่อกันครบ 20 ปีขึ้นไป ทำให้บริษัทต้องรับรู้ค่าใช้จ่ายเพิ่มเติมในไตรมาส 2/62 อีกจำนวน 1,812 ล้านบาท

บล.ยูโอบี เคย์เฮียน  ระบุในบทวิเคราะห์ว่า SSP ราคาที่ปรับลดลงสะท้อนความกังวลจากการขาดทุนอัตราแลกเปลี่ยนเงินกู้ของบริษัทลูก (รายการระหว่างกัน ให้กู้โดย SSP) จากค่าเงินบาทที่แข็งขึ้น กระทบต่อกำไรไตรมาส 4/60 อย่างไรก็ตามราคาที่ลดลงใกล้ IPO ที่ 7.40 บาท มองเป็นโอกาส ซื้อถัว กำไรไตรมาส 1/61 คาดฟื้นตัวจากการเริ่มขายไฟโครงการ Hidaka 17MW (ปัจจุบัน 52MW)

อย่างไรก็ตาม ยังคงต้องรอผลการประชุมผู้ถือหุ้นของ NEX ที่จะมีขึ้นในวันที่ 10 ก.ค.นี้ว่าจะอนุมัติขายหุ้นเพิ่มหุ้นให้กับ EA หรือไม่ หากได้รับอนุมัติจากผู้ถือหุ้น NEX กระบวนการต่อไปจะนำเสนอข้อมูลการเสนอขายหุ้นเพิ่มทุนให้กับทางคณะกรรมการกำกับหลักทรัพย์และตลาดหลักทรัพย์ (ก.ล.ต.) ต่อไป และคาดว่าการเข้าซื้อและถือหุ้น NEX จะแล้วเสร็จในช่วงปลายเดือนก.ค.นี้
