ล่าสุด นายณัฐนัย อนันตรัมพร กรรมการผู้จัดการ ITEL เปิดเผยผ่านรายการ “ข่าวหุ้นเจาะตลาด ออนเรดิโอ” ทาง FM 98.5 MHz สถานีข่าวจริง สปริงเรดิโอ ช่วงเวลา 9.30-11.00 น. ว่า บริษัทตั้งเป้าหมายดำเนินการติดตั้งโครงการดังกล่าวในพื้นที่ต่างๆ ให้แล้วเสร็จ 5% ภายในปีนี้ และคาดว่าจะแล้วเสร็จ 100% ภายในเดือนส.ค.61 ซึ่งพื้นที่ให้บริการอินเทอร์เน็ตความเร็วสูงในพื้นที่ชายขอบนั้นจะเป็นพื้นที่บริเวณชาติแดนทั้งหมด ยกตัวอย่างเช่น อำเภอจะนะ อำเภอเบตง บ้านพุน้ำร้อน เป็นต้น

ส่วนธุรกิจอินเทอร์เน็ตบ้านภายใต้บริการ เอไอเอส ไฟเบอร์ ยังคงมุ่งเน้นการขยาย utilization อย่างต่อเนื่องในพื้นที่ที่มีอยู่เดิม ซึ่งปัจจุบันมีโครงข่ายแล้วใน 28 จังหวัด และมีขนาดฐานลูกค้าทั้งหมด 3.7 ล้านครัวเรือน โดยปีนี้ตั้งเป้าจะมีฐานลูกค้าของบริษัทเพิ่มขึ้นเป็น 6 แสนราย เติบโต 2 เท่าจากปีก่อนที่มีอยู่ 3 แสนราย ตามการเพิ่มขึ้นของรายได้เฉลี่ยของผู้ให้บริการต่อลูกค้า 1 คน (ARPO) คาดหวังในอนาคตจะมีส่วนแบ่งรายได้จากบริการนี้เป็น 20-25% จากปีนี้อยู่ที่ 4%
